AZ Central covered the AZ MOM Dental Day for Vets at mini传媒入口 on March 7, 2020.
Approximately 200 veterans -many of them homeless- were treated by volunteer mini传媒入口 dental hygiene and dental assisting students and professors. Services such as fillings, extractions, cleanings and even immediate dentures were provided to prescreened veteran patients of all ages. This was made possible by a partnership between Central Arizona Dental Society Foundation (CADSF) through its AZ MOM events (AZ Mission of Mercy) in conjunction with mini传媒入口's Dental Hygiene Clinic. The event focused on relieving pain and infection for those unable to afford healthcare.
"I'll be able to eat right," said one veteran. "I'll be able to eat right, the way you're supposed to."
